Scott Sumner
Scott Sumner leads one of Australia’s only inclusive design focussed teams at the Centre for Inclusive Design. Scott’s background in marketing and research is leveraged to understand edge users and the shortcomings of design. He is focussed on empowering others to design with inclusion in mind by embedding capability across business and government. Scott collaborates with CfID partners University of Technology Sydney in the Inclusivity Experiment, a program designed to increase inclusion in education, and the Inclusive Design Research Centre in Toronto Canada. He also advocates heavily on issues such as #MeToo, LGBTQIA2+ inclusion and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders rights. Scott has gained his skills and experience using qualitative design and participatory design to help uncover and identify insights to support the needs of the public and private sectors, agencies and organisations.
